Make a difference with the Made Blue Foundation

Made Blue is an entrepreneurial charity founded in 2014. The foundation helps raise donations and supports projects that provide clean water to people who desperately need it in developing countries. It is shocking to realise that only 1 in 10 people have access to clean water. Water is a fundamental basic need, but even today millions of people still lack access to it. An estimated 485,000 people die every year due to polluted and dirty water. This is hard to believe for those of us who can drink clean water whenever we want.

For every water tap we sell, both Aqua Claro and Borg & Overström donate an equivalent amount to the Made Blue Foundation. As a result, communities that previously lacked access to clean water now receive the opportunity to enjoy better living conditions. Our joint efforts not only help reduce diseases related to polluted water, but also improve educational opportunities, especially for children who now have to spend less time fetching water.

Buying 1 water tap or dispenser from Aqua Claro means 19,000 litres of clean water elsewhere in the world, or 1 year of clean water for 1 person. This is why we use the slogan '1 litre for 1 litre'. Every litre of water you drink, someone elsewhere in the world drinks with you.
